From concept to completion, RENOVA took on the full transformation of this Japanese steakhouse in West Palm Beach, delivering a sophisticated and serene commercial renovation that redefines upscale dining. The client approached us seeking a complete design-build solution that would bring together modern Japanese decor, elegant finishes, and a tranquil ambiance suitable for both casual lunches and luxury dining experiences.
We began with a full consultation, aligning our vision with the client’s desire for contemporary Asian style and authentic Japanese aesthetics. Our team initiated a complete demolition of the existing interiors, setting the stage for a high-end hospitality construction project. We managed every phase with precision—from architectural planning and material sourcing to commercial carpentry and interior finishes.
Throughout the project, we incorporated design elements that reflect modern dining design fused with traditional Japanese influence. Our use of natural wood tables, concrete and wood blends, and feature lighting brought warmth and depth to the interior. As seen in the images, we installed elegant pendant lighting and custom bar installations to create atmospheric architectural lighting. The sushi counter buildout was crafted with polished woodwork, granite tops, and underlighting to enhance the guest experience.
We constructed multiple seating zones including open-concept dining areas, booth seating, and private lounge-style dining nooks. Each zone was finished with custom millwork, seamless flooring, and wood slat paneling for a sleek yet natural ambiance. The soft curves of the overhead light fixtures were made with carefully treated wood, echoing the organic form of Japanese lanterns, while textured wall finishes and accent walls offered visual contrast.
A major highlight was the zen garden integration along the glass-lined perimeter of the restaurant, visible in the images. Indoor greenery and bonsai installations brought life and authenticity to the space, further strengthening the tranquil atmosphere desired by the client.
The commercial kitchen renovation was equally extensive. We upgraded the infrastructure to support high-output sushi and hibachi operations, integrating stainless steel equipment, durable surfaces, and smart storage solutions. This ensured seamless functionality alongside aesthetic excellence.
