As the construction project manager for RENOVA, I’m proud to share the success story behind our SW Hickory Terrace Whole Home Remodel Project in Boca Raton. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, our team approached this modern bungalow remodel with precision, creativity, and unwavering dedication.
The homeowners sought to transform their coastal property into a bright, open concept living space that blends beach-style home aesthetics with contemporary comforts. From the start, we worked closely with them to understand their goals: a light neutral palette, luxury interior finishes, and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow—all while keeping functionality and warmth at the core.
We began by stripping the original layout down to its shell, allowing us to reimagine every inch of the space. Vaulted ceilings with exposed white beams were added to elevate the airiness and enhance natural light flow. The new wood flooring throughout anchors the aesthetic with a soft, coastal touch.
In the living room, we built a custom fireplace surrounded by a classic stone mantle. Framed by sheer curtains and palm-filled window views, the space was furnished with an oversized sectional sofa and deep blue lounge chairs for comfort. A natural wood coffee table serves as a central feature, grounding the design with organic warmth.
Moving into the dining area, we installed a stunning chandelier centerpiece above a round wood dining table and upholstered dining chairs set atop a textured area rug. This design choice enhances both intimacy and sophistication for family meals or entertaining guests.
The kitchen renovation featured a full transformation. We designed a custom kitchen island in blue accent cabinetry topped with elegant quartz countertops. Above, pendant lighting with globe fixtures brings a soft glow, complementing the geometric kitchen backsplash tiles and modern range hood design. Additional features included custom kitchen cabinetry, built-in shelving, and gold hardware finishes that completed the coastal luxury vibe.
In the master bedroom, the goal was relaxation and retreat. We installed a tall canopy bed frame with flowing white drapes, surrounded by light wood bedroom furniture and a pair of cozy armchairs. A modern wallpaper accent wall added texture, while layered bedding, decorative throw pillows, and curated artwork tied everything together. Sliding glass doors lead directly to a private balcony, showcasing ocean views and blurring the line between indoor and outdoor living.
From start to finish, our skilled trades and RENOVA’s construction management team stayed on schedule and delivered within 3 months. Our client was thrilled with the transformation—from a dated beach house to a luxury master suite-anchored oasis.
